Rhizoctonia root and crown rot has surpassed Aphanomyces as the most widespread disease in the American Crystal growing area. Incidence and severity have dramatically increased in the past decade. Several options are available to minimize disease impact. Every option for management and control should be utilized. Yield losses can reach 50 percent if not controlled.
