Beyond Sugar: Essential Agri-Products

At American Crystal Sugar Company, we use every part of the sugarbeet. From animal feed to soil health solutions, our agri-products ensure nothing goes to waste. By transforming byproducts into valuable resources, our solutions support agriculture, industry, and sustainability.

VersaLime

VersaLime is a high-calcium byproduct of sugarbeet processing, used to improve soil health, balance pH, and enhance nutrient availability for better crop yields.

Versalime

Pulp & Tailings

Sugarbeet pulp is the fibrous byproduct left after sugar extraction, commonly used in livestock feed, while tailings consist of beet remnants and soil, often repurposed for animal feed or soil conditioning.

Pulp Pellets

beet pulp pellets

After sugar extraction, the fibrous portion of the sugarbeet is pressed, dried to about 9% moisture, and formed into 5/16-inch pellets. These highly digestible beet pulp pellets provide a valuable, non-starch energy source for livestock feed.
