Minnesota Office of Higher Education Awards American Crystal Sugar Company 2026 Dual Training Grant
The Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) has announced the 2026 recipients of the Dual Training Grant. American Crystal Sugar Company was named one of 71 Minnesota businesses to receive this grant. In total, $4.87 million was awarded to eligible industries including advanced manufacturing, agriculture, health care services, information technology, child care, transportation, and legal cannabis.
Grantees were able to receive up to $150,000 for related instruction costs, of which a single dual trainee can benefit from up to $6,000 for their training. Those costs include tuition, fees, books, and materials. In addition, a grantee could receive up to $15,000 for trainee support costs like transportation, mileage, lodging, meals, tutoring services, translation services, and/or accessibility services.
American Crystal Sugar Company was award $165,000 to fund dual training programs for employees. Other notable recipients include CentraCare Health System, Essentia Health, JBS, Midwest Manufacturers Association, Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, and University of Minnesota, amongst others.
