American Crystal Senior Agriculturists Featured in 2026 FACES of Fargo for Innovation in Sugar Technology
American Crystal Sugar Company is proud to be featured in the 2026 issue of FACES of Fargo, spotlighting how technology drives every career path at our company, on the ground and above it.
On the ground, Senior Agriculturist Austin Holy focuses on building perfectly uniform piles of sugarbeets. With automated piler technology, Austin and his team create balanced piles that better maintain consistent temperatures and airflow, reducing crop loss. In the sky, drone technology gives Senior Agriculturist Curt Meyer a new perspective on sugarbeet storage. Using a drone equipped with a thermal camera, Curt identifies hot spots, areas of heat that can accelerate spoilage, so crews can act quickly to protect crop quality.
From the piles to the skies, Austin and Curt’s work reflects the broader culture of innovation at American Crystal Sugar Company. We’re honored to be recognized for the ingenuity and dedication of our team, and we remain committed to fostering a workplace where ideas thrive and progress is made every day.
