Cercospora Sensitivity/Resistance For Headline

Well over 50 % of townships show no resistance to Headline. Greatest concern is in the Moorhead factory district. It is strongly recommended Headline applications be preceded by fungicides with other modes of action to reduce concern from fields where resistance has been documented. Using only Headline as single applications in late August will increase likelihood of more rapid increases in Headline resistance. Use of tank mixes will reduce the concern for Headline resistance development. Contact your agriculturist for information on a section by section basis.

Cercospora Resistance For Tospin M at 5 PPM

The Moorhead district and the far southern RRV has the greatest development of resistance to Topsin by Cercospora. Topsin is never recommended to be applied alone. Topsin with a suitable tank mix partner should continue to give very good control in 2014.
