Moorhead Factory Awards Three $5,000 Community Roots Grants
American Crystal Sugar Company’s Moorhead factory recently presented three $5,000 grants to area nonprofit organizations.
As part of the Company’s Community Roots Giving Program, factory management reviewed applications from many nonprofit agencies. The selection committee selected three grant recipient organizations because of their focus in the areas of education, hunger and/or emergency services agencies.
American Crystal actively supports the communities where our 4,000-plus employees and shareholders live. Through our Community Roots Giving Program, we’re investing in the organizations and communities that make the Red River Valley stronger and more vibrant.
Hunter, ND Ambulance Service
The volunteer ambulance service provides valuable emergency service to the communities of Hunter, Arthur, Grandin, Garner and Erie along with the surrounding rural areas. The grant will train 5-7 new members of the response team.
Barnesville Ambulance Service
The grant will help replace manikins and other vital training materials for the mostly volunteer ambulance service that responds to 435 square miles of area including the communities of Barnesville, Rothsay, Baker, and Rollag, MN.
Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Professionals
Our Moorhead factory’s grant will be used for SBHP’s Changing Relationships through Outings with Parents project. By helping support SBHP clients and their families overcome chronic behavior disorders, we’re happy create a stronger Moorhead community.
