Presently, the sugar beets in storage could extend the slicing to mid-June. Processing of wastewater would continue for about four additional weeks after the sugar beet slicing ends.
We expect minimal odors from the factory wastewater ponds. This is due to the fact that the main wastewater pond has had a permanent cover installed that traps the odors and prevents any release. Ditches that contain high strength wastewater have been covered with straw reducing the release of odors.
