Have any of the fields had hail damage? 
Soil Type (heavy or light soil) may influence order of harvest. You may want to reconsider the harvest order under adverse weather conditions. Keep in mind that soil type can influence deep N concerns along with sugar content.

Scalping of the sugarbeets will improve the quality of your sugarbeets in any situation, by reducing the amount of impurities. Excessive topping, however, equates to a loss of yield that will diminish the quality that was gained by scalping.
